SOUTHINGTON POLICE
CHILD SAFETY SEAT PROGRAM

In December of 1998 Officer Thomas Gallo of the Southington Police Department was trained in how to properly install Child Passenger Safety Seats. Since that time he has checked well over a thousand car seats. He has also conducted numerous clinics to educate parents on proper use of their child seats.

In March the Southington Police Department was recognized by The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation as a permanent fitting station for car seats. This status allows us to check seats on a regular basis and educate more parents.

This program would not be possible without the help of our partners in safety. Partners in safety such as The Southington Police Union and PBA; Athena Health Care; Baby's World; and The Southington Elks.

If you have any questions regarding your car seat, to set up a clinic, or want to set up an appointment to get your seat checked please contact Officer Tom Gallo @ (860)378-1600 Ext. 2275
or email Officer Gallo
